Norwegian Heritage Since 1958
The Hamax story began in Norway in 1958, when the company started producing plastic components on Kråkerøy near Fredrikstad.
Innovation quickly became part of the company’s identity. During the 1960s, Hamax expanded into sleds and mini skis, helping establish the brand in outdoor recreation. In 1981, Hamax introduced its first child bike seat, marking the beginning of what would become one of its most important product categories.
Over the decades, the range continued to evolve with new generations of bike seats, multifunctional bike trailers and products designed to make outdoor activities more accessible for families.
